Day 3 Arusha - Tarangire National Park 23 October
In the morning we will collect you from your Hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park. The park which is roughly the size of Luxemburg covers an area in the region of 2600 km². Bush savannah, seasonal marshes and formidable baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve. The Tarangire Park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to watch and to get up close to elephants. This is not only because of an estimated 4000 animals but also the elephants are not bothered by the vehicles at a relatively near distance. As well as the elephants, the park is the habitat for Maasai giraffes, various gazelle, antilopes, buffalo, lions, leopards, baboons and more than a hundred different types of birds. There is definitely plenty of wildlife to watch, late in the afternoon you will arrive at Tarangire Safari Lodge for overnight in a triple room. For further information see: www.tarangiresafarilodge.com

Day 4 Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park 24 October
After breakfast the tour takes you to the lush crater uplands. Here the fertile soils allow crops such as wheat, corn and coffee to be grown. A short while later you will see the plains of the Serengeti. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word Siringitu and means “endless plains”. You can see why as the grassland savana in the south stretches to the horizon and is only interrupted by the so called Kopjes (inselbergs). These are bizarre rock formations formed by the weathering of granite outcrops. The plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats. Here you will have a chance to view these magnificant creatures in their natural habitat. The open roofed vehicles allow uninterrupted views and as the day passes you will reach the goal for the day – the Seronera Valley in the central Serengeti area. Here you will enjoy an evening meal and stay overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge in a twin and a single room. For further information see:

Day 5 Serengeti National Park 25 October
The whole day is devoted to you to observe the wildlife in the Serengeti National Park. The areas that you will visit depend upon the location of the herds. Generally the herds of wildebeest and zebras during the short rain season of October to November tend to be found moving from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. They return slowly during the longer rain season in April, May and June. Fluctuations in precipitation can affect the animals location from year to year, however your guide will know the exact location of the animals and the best vantage spots.
A visit to the Visit Centre is also possible where you can learn about Serengeti’s history and current research of Frankfurter Zoologische Gesellschaft (Frankfurt zoological society). You will overnight again at Seronera Wildlife Lodge in a twin and a single room.
Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Day 6 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area 26 October
